A: The Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed shares a parking lot with Speedway Motors, you can park anywhere on campus. If you are in need of handicap parking, please park on either side of the street near the entrance of the museum.
Q: Am I able to bring my pet into the museum?
A: We do not allow pets in the museum. Animals must be a certified service animal in order to enter the museum.
Q: My relative has a hard time getting around, do you have wheelchairs available?
A: We do have 2 wheelchairs available upon request, but it is first come first serve during the day. We also have a motorized scooter.
Q: Are you handicap accessible?
A: We are! We have a ramp for use in the front of the museum that goes from the entrance into the first gallery. We also have an elevator that will go to all three floors. For handicap parking we encourage you to park in the street in front of the museum. Handicap parking is not marked but you are able to park along the street for easier access.
Q: Are children allowed in the museum?
A: Yes, we encourage children to visit! We love having a chance to teach younger generations about the history of racing and the automobile. We do require children to be with an adult at all times, as there are many artifacts in the museum that could cause injury to a child. We also do not allow anyone to touch or play with our vast toy collection including pedal cars.
Q: Can I bring food and drink into the museum?
A: We do not allow food or drink throughout the museum.
Q: Do you have a Gift Shop?
A: At this time we do not have a gift shop, we are working on getting a few items for sale in the museum. You can go over to the Speedway Motors parts counter to buy a museum t-shirt.
