Schefchick won 17 features during his career with the WMRA, many of them with this car.
Jan Opperman drove this car to a USAC feature win at Ascot Park on September 6, 1976, just six days before being badly hurt at the Hoosier Hundred. This is believed to be Opperman's last win in a midget. Don Edmunds was one of the most prolific builders of midgets through the 1960's and 1970's. His cars were driven by some of the best in the business, including; Gary Bettenhausen, Danny and Jimmy Caruthers, Mel Kenyon, Larry Rice, Rich Vogler and Billy Vukocvich. |
