The #10 Lynch Offy was a very famous east coast winner in the 1940's and early 1950's. Steady ride for Indy 500 winner (1950) Johnnie Parsons.
Other drivers include Bill Schindler (winner of three features in the car), Henry Renard and Mike Nazaruk. This car is restored period correct for 1947, with an excellent running Ken Hickey-built Offenhauser engine featuring rebuilt twin Riley side draft carburetors. Previous owners include: Bill Nimzik, Bill Lynch, Andy Furci, John Lalli and Bill Abernathy. Jim Barclay bought the car and restored it to the Lynch colors. It then came in to the possession of Ed Rachanski before coming to the Museum of American Speed. |
