We have an amazing volunteer staff and you can be one of them! Our volunteers are a vital part of the museum. Does volunteering at the Museum of American Speed sound like something you would be interested in?
Tour Guide This role is very important to the museum as the tour guides take guests on all three floors and tell the guests about the collection. (You are not expected to learn everything there is to know in the museum to be a tour guide. Our staff will make sure you are well prepared and have all the help you need. The information on the museum's collection can be overwhelming but don't let that scare you if you are really interested in being a tour guide!)
Daily Ambassador This role is to help our guests with questions they might have, direct them to the restrooms, give them a brief overview of the museum, and most important enjoy them and the time you spend with them. An Ambassador is also here to help guests have the best experience possible at the museum.
Special Event Ambassador This is a really fun role, we have a number of special events held at the Museum throughout the year for many different types of organizations, and groups. A number of Special Event Ambassadors work these events to help crowd control, show where different items are located, and over all just help the guests feel comfortable.
Other opportunities include: Cleaning cars Computer work, scanning, etc. Research Restoration work
