Description :
Chrysler produced this in depth cut-a-way to inform car enthusiasts about their product. The “Hemi” was on the production line for eight years as it was featured in sanctioning bodies such as NASCAR and NHRA. Shortly after Chrysler competed with the 426, NASCAR mandated a lower compression rule which forced the SOHC engine out of competition in 1965. Today, the “Hemi” is the engine of choice for professional drag racers in the National Hot Rod Association.
