Description :
This is one of two engines built in 1993 as a result of a family challenge of “could we weld parts together to make a 16 cylinder Chevrolet engine”. The Mathon family operates a welding shop that specializes in cast iron repair of broken castings. 2- 350 Chevy blocks cut into sections and welded together. #1 cylinder on second block fires 45 degrees after #1 on first block. Power stroke every 45 degrees of rotation. Within a year the engine was test run on the dynometer at Bill Mitchel’s shop on Long Island. It made over 500 HP.
